Japan | 3/14 : Ibaraki, Osaka

Hey! It’s been a while since the last time I post about my Japan trip in 2016. I’m so sorry for a long pause. 😦IMG_7704

On our third day, we planned to visit Ibaraki to see Tadao Ando work, the Church of Light. How I know him? Well, first time to hear his name was during my modern architecture lecture class long ago in university. His style was minimalist with raw or exposed concrete wall mesmerized me. He is a Japanese with his signature style, double up my adore to him. So while I had the chance to visit Japan, I took the opportunity to see it with my own eyes.

Bandung | 4/5 : Wot Batu

Wot Batu located not very far from Selasar Sunaryo. You can reach Wot Batu less than a minute walk from Selasar Sunaryo. We did not know that Wot Batu is also Pak Sunaryo’s work before we ask the security outside. The security was very friendly and helpful. We decided to park our motorbike to heal our disappointment from Selasar Sunaryo. Admission fee is Rp 50,000 / person included with tour guide. The tour guide only available every an hour, lucky for us it was 12PM when we reach there. There were no one there so it was a private tour for us. 🙂

Bandung |1/5 : Bandung here we come!

Finally me and Mr.F had a trip again after we worked so hard last year for project opening. So, first week of January we depart to a big city, almost like Jakarta. But not as hot as Jakarta. It is because Bandung is a highland city.

We decided to have train as our transportation to Bandung, you know, because it’s still in the Christmas – New Year vacation period. So we expected by shuttle or bus or car would suffer from traffic jam. Another reason is Mr. F never go out-of-town by train before.

We had ‘Argo Parahyangan’ executive class train for our trip which departed from Gambir Station. Gambir station is the main train station in Jakarta that is used if we want to go out-of-town. If you’d like to have cheaper train price, you could go from Senen Station with economy class train. But I think there are not so huge different between executive and economy class. If I’m not forgotten it costs around Rp 120,000 / pax (we bought from Well it depends with the time of departure too. Just like your flight tickets and your destination.
